Rachel

This is a fairly representative photograph of Rachel at work: a cat stretched to roughly twice its advertised length, and Rachel laughing anyway. Patients tend to get the full benefit of her attention, however uncooperative they are being about it.

She is part of the team you will meet in the treatment room — the people holding your pet steady, keeping them calm, and making sure the day runs the way it should. It is work that is easy to miss when it is going well, which is rather the point of doing it properly.

The wall behind her in that photo has the practice's non-negotiables pinned to it: do your part, take a breath, show up, assume good intent. Rachel is one of the reasons that reads as a description of this place rather than a poster.
